YorMed has partnered with North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to deliver inter-service training across a range of exercises and demonstrations.

YorMed has recently partnered up with North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to provide inter-service training at various exercises and demonstrations in recent months. Exercises have ranged from single-vehicle extrications to major incidents, as well as working together to provide a demonstration at the Whitby Regatta earlier in the year.

Paul Bennett, Station Manager at York, sent a letter of thanks to YorMed stating:

"It is not often that we manage to train with local ambulance crews due to their limited availability. You and your crew's attendance on the evening brought an added element of realism to the exercise, and enabled our respective organisations to work together and share best practice. The fire crews that attended on the evening have benefitted from the opportunity to work more closely with the medical professionals.

Please can you pass on my thanks, and that of my crews, to those from your organisation who attended on the evening — and we look forward to working with you again."

YorMed crews also benefit from the exercises, learning how to work with other members of the emergency services as well as overcoming the challenges that a realistic scene provides.
