This site uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your device to help a website provide a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences and store information for features such as logging in to manage the site. As a rule, cookies make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser – we suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website, which offers guidance for all modern browsers.

Cookies we use

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. If you are simply browsing this website as a visitor, no cookies are set on your device – we do not use any advertising, profiling or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not currently run Google Analytics or any other analytics service.

The only cookies set by this site are strictly necessary cookies created by WordPress (the software the site is built on) when an authorised member of our team logs in to manage the website. These are listed below for transparency.

Cookie nameTypeDurationPurpose
wordpress_[hash]Strictly necessary (session)Until the browser is closedAuthenticates a logged-in administrator on the site management screens.
wordpress_logged_in_[hash]Strictly necessary (session)Until the browser is closedConfirms an administrator is logged in and identifies who they are.
wp-settings-[user-id]Strictly necessary (persistent)1 yearRemembers an administrator’s preferences for the WordPress management screens.
wp-settings-time-[user-id]Strictly necessary (persistent)1 yearRecords when the wp-settings preferences above were last set.

These administrator cookies are never set on the devices of ordinary visitors, and they are exempt from the consent requirements of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) because they are strictly necessary to provide the site management service requested by the logged-in user.

Our contact forms

Our enquiry, event quote and feedback forms are powered by Contact Form 7. When you submit a form, your browser exchanges a short-lived security token with the site to validate the submission and help guard against spam. This token is not a persistent tracking cookie and is not used to identify you or follow you across other websites. The information you enter into a form is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

Managing or disabling cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that restricting cookies may affect the functionality of this and many other websites. For step-by-step guidance covering all modern browsers, visit the About Cookies website.

Changes to this policy

If our use of cookies changes – for example if we introduce analytics in the future – we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.
